FAQ

What is Neuromatiq?

It is a series of 3D/2D educational videos on neuroanatomy and neurophysiology. The project also includes:

  • Detailed explanatory texts,
  • Interactive 3D animations,
  • Medical image galleries,
  • Bibliographic and educational references,
  • A making-of documentary showcasing the project's creation.

What is the goal of Neuromatiq?

  • To design an introductory resource for neurophysiology and neuroanatomy.
  • To bridge the "GAP" between purely scientific works (often complex) and over-simplified popularization projects.

Who is the target audience for this project?

  • Primarily students in the healthcare field: medicine, nursing, nursing assistants, etc.
  • Any other students who can benefit from this content.
  • Teachers and healthcare professionals.
  • Curious individuals wishing to discover the mysteries of the nervous system.

In what form is Neuromatiq delivered?

  • Neuromatiq, the website: www.neuromatiq.net (the main and current platform).
  • Neuromatiq, the book: a print version complementing the visuals.
  • Neuromatiq, the DVD program: the historical interactive version (Legacy).
  • Neuromatiq, the DVD Video: a format now abandoned and deprecated. Its standard resolution and fixed structure no longer meet the project's current quality standards.

Why was there a 15-year "productive gap" in the project?

Since the 2011 version, the project went through a long period of technical and productive instability. This 15-year gap is explained by my professional career in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (a demanding residency training), my assignment to Beni Mellal (far from my main residence), as well as personal reasons related to family life and raising my children. Today, the project is reborn with a web-centered vision.

Can I use this resource for free?

Yes. Neuromatiq is entirely free. You can view, download, and use it without any limitations or fees. Knowledge should be shared and disseminated for free; I see no reason to charge someone who has the desire to learn.

Can I distribute Neuromatiq?

Yes, provided it is delivered for free and without any modifications. The product must be distributed as it was designed, without alteration to the content or the container.

Can I host your videos on my own YouTube channel?

No. It is strictly forbidden to download my videos and re-host them on your own YouTube channels (or other platforms) for profit, whether for monetization or to generate visibility for your personal account. You may, however, share the official Neuromatiq links.

How can I contribute to the project?

Your help is precious to keep Neuromatiq alive:

  • Feedback: Leave a comment to tell us if the resource helped you.
  • Scientific Critique: The 2011 version relied on sources that are sometimes old. If you spot data that is no longer relevant or scientific errors, please report them to me.
  • Technical Bugs: Report any display problems or bugs on the website.
  • Improvements: Suggest adjustments or updates to enrich the content.
  • Discussion: Participate in exchanges within each topic or on the forum.

Can I use video sequences, images, or animations for my personal project?

Only if your project is delivered for free or if it is for strictly personal, non-commercial use.

Who created this project?

The project was created by myself, Dr. Ben Brahim Mohammed. It was supervised by Professor Belahsen Mohammed Faouzi, Professor of Neurology at the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of Fez.

How long did this work take?

The initial design and production phase required 4 years of intensive work.

In 2026...

is this kind of project still useful with the advent and peak of Artificial Intelligence and information available at our fingertips?

I honestly don't know. If you are reading this, I am actually asking for your opinion: has Neuromatiq been useful to you?

What happened to the Medmatiq project?

The Medmatiq project was a forum I created in 2006, dedicated to medical informatics, on which I worked extensively with friends for years. Unfortunately, due to my lack of experience and a lack of initial resources and advice, the project was hosted on a free hosting service that, a year ago, locked the site and demanded an exorbitant sum to unlock it. Having no access to the database, this "mother project" that gave birth to Neuromatiq is unfortunately dead. We have turned the page, perhaps for a better future, but it was a beautiful experience and I absolutely do not regret the moments of joy and sharing it generated.
